Traumatized is maybe not so bad ... IF (!) you learn the lessons.
Honestly, everyone, or almost everyone, is. Most people though keep colouring their existence too beautiful, thus undermining their own capacity to see reality and work on it. And of course I don't expect anyone to manage such who is in life endangering exactly right now. The point is, most are not and there is plenty of time to look inside one's self and see clearly, or clearer, at least. There is plenty of chances to act towards our environment in better ways than people do who certainly have no need for aggression but are driven by the same. Or the other way around, who are not in need to submit to and therewith support violators but do.
What is happening in this world right now is a horrible symptom of world-wide failed chances of civilization and continuing failure to focus on relevant issues in time.
As in families so in organizations so in states.
Some play the power plays, dummies follow, such are creating majorities, pressure is rising and the reptile brains take over them all. Remember, our animal ancestry is not evil itself, it is simply mechanisms to survive. Ridiculous this gets when people react on reptile where they are not endangered at all. Lots of taboos over the centuries and millenia have imprinted certain 'culturally specific' targeting of certain selected scape goats. False bonds and false agreements are putting people and peoples' representatives into positions to continue into false directions. Once false is always false until someone admits mistakes. In situations of subjective pressure though no mistakes are being admitted and in general, someone who admits mistakes is seen as vulnerable though exactly this is the only way to change to the better: identify and admit mistakes and wrong decisions, to learn from them.
Yet, whole world is being presented to the whole world though only a next lie is built on the one before, and together this creates whole buildings of lies.
Illusions.
It's crazy.
False habits take over. That have always been false - as in families so in organizations so in states. People learn their basic interactive behaviour in families and transfer it to any other kind of social environment. Sometimes they learn and create themselves anew (rarely), mostly they adapt and 'improve' the once chosen direction and with it the skilledness.
Trauma could be helpful to sort anew. But also this rarely used as a chance. Mostly, people just keep up stubbornly their same direction until their very last super-fail.
There is no 'Turkey-PKK-conflict' for instance.
There is no 'Kurdish conflict' or 'problem' either.
There is a conflict though that certain Fascistic regimes are trying to erase the gift of diversity and any other approach than slavish acceptance of their very own, childish but unfortunately dangerous, one-dimensional views which do not allow any healthy criticism or any other way people would like to live but their own.
So what is good about being traumatized?
It is good that you deeply KNOW about the mechanisms and ways of working that perpetrators have, even if often enough you can't help it as dumb is always stronger. IF you have done your job to sort out all the accusations you as a victim usually are covered with by the perpetrator himself. As in families so in organizations and so in states. Suppression works by suppression in many ways in familial systems and the deep imprint this creates on human souls.
For instance:
Blame the victim that it has started the whole chain and you are only re-acting.
Blame the victim that it has been the reason and the cause for your misdeeds and you had to act harsh because of the danger of the victim.
Blame the victim as the causal violator when it reacts with self-defence
Blame the victim that therefore, you hit it even more.
Blame the victim that also other misdeeds you have done have been done by the victim.
And so on and so forth.
All well known by the ways wife-beaters and child abusers argue regularly.
Now it also happens that some people do not intend to be victims - and the more the aggressor will rise the pressure.
Everyone involved in analyzing mechanisms of violence, and we all should be as there are many forms of violence that people simply don't want to see to keep their false ID alive, at a point starts to sense these lies clearly. Sometimes you do not have the proof in hands, sometimes you have no ways to make it visible or explain the facts to a neutral third party, sometimes you are prevented to do so.
One thing you can be sure of, and also this is well-known about perpetrators:
They will never stop their destructive games by themselves.
They give hints though, to in a way (!) make other people stop them.
They themselves have no more control; this is why they need to control others so very much and to silence, or excise, those who could identify what they really are: Psychotics.
Their inner instances will sort it as a confirmation of their actions when wrong-doing is rewarded so that they will only move on to the next worse level. They will drag more and more people into their evil games. As long as there is no one who is capable of and is stopping them. I have seen this on different scales so many times, and unfortunately this type of people are dragging others into their games so very well skilled as they themselves have done no other all their lives through and it works as so many don't see through - as so many have never sorted their own lentils themselves. (This leads me to the idea that lentils-sorting should be a subject at school, actually. Maybe it should.)
For open eyes, the methods are so obvious.
Whatever geo-political important place this psychotic has occupied at the moment, he is and will also never be ally to any one but to his very own Beast. If people still believe democracy to have a chance to take over, world, watch that well, please. And act in time.

So see, maybe it is not so bad to have worked with and sorted mechanisms of trauma one self. The first step is to stop denying. The next is to sort, this never stops or ends, it is tough and not convenient at all.

PS: And don't believe any so-called democratic place in this world is a better place. It is just doing the more or less same a little differently and they are covering up better. There are always some who are 1st grade actors but behind them are standing masses who conform, don't speak up or support, willingly or unwillingly, consciously or unconsciously, by contorting the truth.
